A beautiful pair of watercolours by landscape painter and etcher John Mallows Youngman who was a pupil of Henry Sass (1788-1844). Before settling in London, Youngman was a book seller in Saffron Walden. He exhibited mainly watercolours at NWS (110 works) as well as the RA 1838- 75 BI and elsewhere. He was elected R.I in 1841.
