Killarney is an area of Ireland which in 1851 founded a furniture manufacturing specialist. Specialising in intricately inlaid detail to a piece that only manufactured pieces for around two decades, much of which went to the Kensington Palace and other museums and National Trust properties. Commissioned by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert with great patrons of theirs after seeing their exhibition at the exhibition organised by Prince Albert in London. They exhibited some of the fine intricate works the larger pieces are quite rare and scarce, the smaller pieces which include tea caddies and trays are often more commonplace, but to find something exceptional of this large size and calibre is quite rare and often can sell for very large sums of money.
Most of the large pieces are still in the palaces in the UK they were made for.
